今回のポイントとなる単語は日常会話で頻繁に登場するsay。早速、穴埋めをしましょう。日本語の意味になるように 、( ) に該当する語を入れてください。(最初の文字指定)

《解説》
1. The weather report says ～「天気予報によると～である」→「雨が降るって」。
2. The way a person carries oneself「その人の振る舞い方」。say a lot「多くを語る」で「よく分かる」の意味に。
3. The newspaper says ～「新聞に～だと出ている (書いてある)」。a big fire「大火事」。
4. The guidebook says ～「ガイドブックに～だと書いてある」。must-seeは「必見の場所」という意味の名詞。
5. Ten dollars says ～「10ドルが～だと言う」。これで「～に10ドル賭ける」の意味に。I have ten dollars that says our team win this game.とも言えます。面白い例文を一つ。My stomach says it's time to eat.「お腹がぐーぐー鳴っている」。
