あるある英作文35。次の文を英訳すると・・・。□に該当する文字を入れてください。

《ヒント》
「出演者」はカタカナ三文字を英語に。「素人」はproではなく・・・。「カメラ目線」は「カメラを直接見る」。最後の□は「～しながら」。

➡︎ The guest was supposed to be an amateur, but he looked directly at the camera while answering the interviewer's questions.
《解説》
「出演者」はguest、「素人」はamateur (綴りに要注意)、「～のはずなのに」はbe supposed to ～で表現します。「カメラ目線」とはlook directly at the camera「カメラを直接見る」ということですね。while ～ing「～しながら」。Even though he was billed as an amateur, the guest looked straight into the camera when answering interview questions.と言い換えてもいいでしょう。be billed as ～「～と言われる、発表されている」。

・stock market「株式市場、株式相場」。
