Point 623：ポイント別徹底トレーニング《会話でよく耳にするHere’s ～》

There’s ～の次は、Here’s ～。まず、会話を読んでください。

A: Here’s a little something from my trip.
　 I hope you like it.
B: For me? It’s very nice of you.

Aが旅行のお土産を渡し、Bがお礼を言っている場面。Here’s a little something for you.は「つまらないものですがどうぞ」に当たる言い回し。for youの代わりにfrom my tripを使うと、「これちょっと旅先で買ってきたんだけど（どうぞ）」の意味になります。

次は、Here’s ～を使って英文を言い換えてみましょう。

You can have this recording I made.
これ録音しておいたから、あげるよ。
⇨ Here’s a recording I made. You can have it.

I wish you happiness for ever and ever.
末永くお幸せに。
⇨ Here’s wishing you happiness without end.
