◇交通ルールなんてあってないようなもんだよ◇
次の文を英訳すると？
1. この通りに車を止めるなよな。
2. 一人が止めるとみんな真似するんだから。
3. あいつら注意するとくってかかってくるし。
4. 交通ルールなんてあってないようなもんだよ。
5. やりたい放題なんだから。
【Step 1】
日本語の意味に合わせて英訳してみましょう。
1. Don't park your car on this road.
2. One person parks his car, and then everyone does so.
3. If I warn them, they will become angry.
4. It seems like there are no traffic rules.
5. They just do whatever they want.

より英語らしく表現する（英語に磨きをかける）とどうなるか。カッコに入る語を考えてみてください。

1. Who said ～にすると「誰が～と言ったんだ」の意味になります。主語を換えて、This road isn't your parking lot.「お前らの駐車場じゃいない」、命令形にしてMove your car off this road.「この通りから車をどけろ」とも言えます。
2.「一人が車を止めるとすぐにみんな～」をNo sooner does one person do it than everybody ～を使って表現しています。否定語が文頭に出たためにdoes one person doと倒置されている点に注意してください。pile inは「どんどんやって来る」の意味。
3. Try warning ～ andで「試しに注意してごらんよ。そうしたら～だから」と言っているのです。snap backの意味は「言い返す」。また、Warningを主語にしてWarning them only makes them indignant.のように言い換えてもいいでしょう。
4. ポイントとなるのはexist「存在する」とas far as ～ concerned「～に関する限り」。これを組み合わせて「あいつらには交通ルールは無いようなものだ」の意味を表しています。また、The traffic rules mean nothing to these people.のような言い回しも可能です。
5. act like ～で「～のように振る舞う」、ownは「所有する」の意味。これで「道路の所有者か何かかのように振る舞う」と呆れている感じを出しています。また、What is this, their own private drive?と言うと「なんだよこれは、奴らの私道なのかよ」の意味になります。
