◇紙詰まりくらい自分で直せばいいのよ◇
次の文を英訳すると？
1. また、コピー機がおかしくなってる。
2. 犯人はわかってるけど。
3. 彼っていつもそうなんだから。
4. あとの人のこと、考えないのかしら？
5. 紙詰まりくらい自分で直せばいいのよ。
【Step 1】
日本語の意味に合わせて英訳してみましょう。
1. Something is wrong with the copy machine again.
2. I know who did it.

4. Doesn't he think about the next person?
5. When the paper is stuck, he should fix it by himself.

より英語らしく表現する（英語に磨きをかける）とどうなるか。カッコに入る語を考えてみてください。

【解説】
1. Not again!で「またなの！」の意味になります。「コピー機」はcopy machine / copying machine、あるいは、copierと言います。mess up「台無しにする」を受け身にして、コピー機がおかしくなっている状態を表しています。
2. It's clear to me ～で「～は私にははっきりしている」と言っているのです。この後にthe culprit「犯人」を使っています。I'm pretty sure I know the culprit.でも同じような意味になります。
3. count on ～「～を当てにする、期待する」の使い方に注目。これで「こういうことをするのは間違いなく彼だ」の意味になります。ちょっと皮肉っているわけですね。この場面では、It's always him.「いつも彼なんだから」、He never fails to jam the machine.「彼って必ず紙を詰まらせるんだから」も使えます。
4. think ofの代わりにbe considerate of ～「～を思いやる」を用いているところがポイント。仮定法で、I wish he would think of the next person once in a while.のように言ってもいいでしょう。
5. jamが「（紙を詰まらせて）動かなくする」、その反対がunjamで「詰まった紙を取り除く」。the least you can doで「少なくともそれくらいはしてよね」と言っているのです。語順を換えて、The least you should do is fix your own paper jams.でもいいですね。
