「言い換え色々10」。色々な言い換え問題にトライしてみましょう。早速、実例をチェック！

1. He and I hit it off well.
　 あいつとは馬が合う。
⇨ He and I really get ( a　　　) well.

2. You look different with that short hairdo.
　 髪を切ってイメージチェンジしたんだね。
⇨ That short hairstyle ( g　　　) you a new look.

《解説》
1. hit it off「馬が合う、そりが合う」をget along well「仲がいい」を使って言い換え。(例) They became fast friend.「彼らはすぐに仲良くなった」。
2. look different with that short hairdoの文字通りの意味は「ショートな髪型で違って見える (イメージチェンジ)」。That short hairstyleを主語にして、動詞にgiveを使っている点に注目。gives you a new look「あなたに新しい容貌を与える」→「イメージチェンジ」。(例) I think that girl cut her hair to give herself a new look.「彼女は髪を切ってイメチェンしたんだね」。

3. decide for yourself「自分で決断する」をThe decision「決断」はbe up to you「あなた次第である」と言い換えています。(例) The success or failure of this project is all up to you.「このプロジェクトがうまく行くか失敗するかはすべて君にかかっている」。
4. can’t listen to ～ without crying「涙なしでは～を聞けない」とは・・・It's impossible to hear ～ with dry eyes「乾いた目で～を聞くのは不可能」ということですね。(例) I can't sleep without the air conditioner on tonight.「今夜はエアコンなしでは眠れない」。
5. have different values「違った価値観を持っている」をdon’t share the same values「同じ価値観を共有していない」で言い換え。shareの使い方がポイントですね。(例) We don't have any shared values.「我々は全然価値観が違う」。
