Part 15：疑問文で言い換える２
「疑問文で言い換える」。今回はその２。疑問文 ⇨ 疑問文。まずは実例をチェック！
1. Was the party fun?
パーティーは楽しかった？
⇨ Did you have fun at the party?
2. Who told you that rumor?
その噂は誰から聞いたの？
⇨ Where did you get that rumor from?
《解説》
1. fun「楽しみ」、have fun「楽しむ」。enjoy「楽しむ」を使ってDid you enjoy yourself at the party? / Did you enjoy the party?とも言い換えられます。
2. Who told you that rumor?とWhere did you get that rumor from?の文字通りの意味は・・・「誰があなたにその噂を言ったの？」、「その噂をどこで手に入れたの？」。

《解答・解説》
3. know：know a person from somewhereは「(その人に) どこかで会って知っている」という意味。
4. differ：名詞difference「違い」、動詞differ「異なる」の使い方に注目。How does that one differ from this one?意味は・・・「あれとこれはどう違うの？」。
5. brings：What brings you here tonight?「今夜は何があなたをここに連れて来たの?
」⇨「どうして今夜はここに？」。bringsと現在形にします。(例) What brings you here this late at night?「どうしてこんなに夜遅くここに来たのですか？」。
