some party「なかなかのパーティーだった」で「盛り上がった、盛会だった」を表現。次の言い回しも一緒に覚えておきましょう。The best part of the party is yet to come.「パーティーが一番盛り上がるのはこれからだ」。「酒池肉林」をここではan incredibly luxurious feast「信じられないくらい豪華な宴会」で表現しています。
（例）「目も胃袋も楽しませてくれるご馳走でした」─ It was a feast for the eyes as much as for the stomach.
