動詞treatの基本的な意味は「扱う」。
He knows how to treat customers right.
彼は客の扱いがとてもうまい。
That clerk treats women customers completely differently from men.
あの店員、男と女で客の対応が全然違う。
調子や具合を聞く場合にもtreatが使えます。
How's your back treating you?
腰の具合はどうなの？
How's the weather treating you these days?
最近、調子はどう？
treatは「おごる、ご馳走する」という意味を表し、名詞にもなります。
Let me treat you tonight.
今夜は僕におごらせて。
