「老後に趣味がないなんて寂しいよね」─ Being elderly with no hobbies is a sad thought.
being elderlyの文字通りの意味は「年配になること」。「老後」はone's old ageやone's golden years, one's retirement yearsでも表現できます。You should save a little now for your old age.「老後のために、今、少しでも貯金をしておいた方がいい」。
（例）「老後をどう過ごされるつもりですか？」─ How are you going to spend your golden years?
