「お先真っ暗だよ」─ There's no light at the end of the tunnel.
no light at the end of the tunnel「トンネルの出口に明かりが見えない（見通しがきかない）」で「お先真っ暗」を表現しています。We see no light at the end of the tunnel now. / Things don't look good to me.とも言えます。
（例）「先が思いやられるね」─ I hate to think what lies ahead.
