【解説】
1. set in「始まる」。「梅雨入りした」はThe rainy season is here.とも言えます。The rainy season is finally over.が「ようやく梅雨が明けた」に当たる言い回し。
2. gloomy「鬱陶しい、憂鬱な」。（例）It's rainy season. There's no let-up in the gloomy weather.「梅雨になって。憂鬱な天気が続いている」。
3.「まさに」をsureで表現。feel like ～「～のような感じがする」。（例）It's getting summery day by day.「日に日に夏めいてくる」、The sunshine is dazzling.「日差しが眩しい」。
4. boiling「煮え立っている」で「うだる」を表現。 blazing「焼けつくような」も使えます。（例）It's hotter than blazes today.「今日は暑いなんてもんじゃない」。blazes「地獄」。
5.「スイッチを入れる／切る」はturn on / offで表現します。（例）The air-conditioning is too strong.「クーラーが効きすぎ」。Set the air-conditioner to turn off in an hour.「1時間で切れるようにクーラーをセットして」。
