金曜日は「英語表現」の日。日常生活の中で頻繁に使われるさまざまな表現を覚えましょう。毎回、トピックに関連した使える英文を紹介します。今回は「英語」です。

【解説】
1. Why do you study English?のdo youが略されています。（例）Why take the bus?「何でバスに乗るの？」。
2. be not good at ～「～が得意ではない」。（例）This is one thing I'm not good at.「これは私が苦手とするものの一つです」。memorization「暗記」。（例）You always forget things you learn by brute memorization.「丸暗記してもすぐに忘れるよ」。
3. come out「出てくる」。（例）I have a word on the tip of my tongue, but it just won't come out.「言葉が喉まで出かかっているのですが、どうしても出てきません」。
4. caseの代わりにsituationも使えます。（例）In this case, the grammar book says you have to make the verb tenses the same.「参考書によると、この場合は動詞の時制を一致させないといけない」。
5. have a lot of ～ing to doで「～することがたくさんある」の意味。（例）I have a lot of washing to do today.「今日は洗濯物がたくさんある」。
