「揚げ足を取る」をfind fault with「あら探しをする」で表現しています。genius「天才」とnitpick「重箱の隅をつつく」を使って、He is a genius at nitpicking.とも言えます。次の言い回しでも同じような意味になります。He is excellent at criticizing other people. / He is really good at pointing out other people's faults.
