今日のワンポイント

金曜日《表現》【関連表現】にtelegenic「テレビ映りがいい」が出てきました。photogenic「写真うつりがいい」と一緒に例文を挙げておきましょう。

That pop idol is very telegenic.
→あのポップアイドルはテレビ映りがとてもいい。
A candidate has to be telegenic to win an election.
→立候補が選挙に勝つにはテレビ映りがよくなくていけない。
That actress isn't very photogenic. The picture doesn't look like her at all.
→あの女優は写真うつりがあまりよくない。写真と実物ではまるで違う。
She's really photogenic. Too bad she hates having her picture taken.
→彼女は本当に写真うりがいいのに。残念だね、写真嫌いだなんて。
