6. news flash「ニュース速報、臨時ニュース」。（例）Did you see the news flash on TV?「テレビのニュース速報を見た？」。
7.「マンネリ」をget into a rut「型にはまる」で表現。（例）That band debuted just a year ago, and they're already in a rut.「あのバンドはデビューして1年なのに、もう曲がマンネリ化してる」。
8. Not another ～で「また～か（もういいよ）」の意味。（例）Not again!「またかよ！」。
9. vegetate「だらだら（無為に）過ごす」。（例）Don't sit at home and vegetate.「何もしないで家にいて、だらだらしないでよ」。
10. (audience) rating「視聴率」。（例）They dumped their main anchor because ratings were bad.「視聴率取れないから、メインキャスターが下ろされたんだって」。
