金曜日《表現》で前回と今回、「天気」に関連する英語表現を取り上げました。さらに英文を追加しておきます。「晴れ男・女、雨男・女、天気雨」を英語で表現すると？
Whenever I travel with you, you seem to bring good weather.
→あなたと一緒に旅行すると、いつもいい天気みたい（晴れ男）。
It looks like one of us is the type who brings rain with them.
→僕たちの中の誰かが雨男（雨女）のようだね。
The sun is out, but it's raining. We call that "tenki-ame" in Japanese, or "sunny rain." That's how we say it.
→太陽が出ているのに雨が降っている。日本語で「天気雨」って言うんだ。こういうのを。
