水曜日は「英作文」の日。日々の生活の中でよく使う言い回しを英語で表現してみましょう。練習は三つのパート（穴埋め問題）に分かれています。それでは始めましょう。

日本語の意味になるようにカッコに適切な語を入れてください。

【解説】
「～がある」はhaveで表現します。「習慣」はcustomですね。（例）Custom makes all things easy.「習うより慣れよ」。custom (that is) called ～で「～と呼ばれる習慣」という意味。「初詣」を文字通りにthe first visit of the year to worship at a shrineと英訳しています。worship「参拝する」。「神社」はshrine、「寺」はtempleです。
