正解 (A) backfired：「あだとなってしまった」─ It backfired on me.
My good intentions「善意、良かれと思ったこと」を使って、My good intentions backfired on me.、あるいは、It backfired on me despite my good intentions.と言ってもいいでしょう。backfireは「期待に反した結果になる」、backtrackは「（意見などを）撤回する」という意味。例文を一つ。I did it with the best of intentions, but it didn't work out.「良かれと思ってしたのに、そうは取られなかった」。
