通じる英語の話し方（音読88回）

音読しましょう。

◇旅行について話す◇
My friends and I are taking a trip next week.
Ten of us are going up to the mountains.
We're going trekking for four or five days.

【和訳】
来週、友達と旅行に出かける。
10人で山に登るのよ。
4, 5日の間、トレッキングするの。

【リスニング】

【解説】
take a trip「旅行する」、go up to the mountains「山に登る」。go trekkingで「トレッキングに行く」の意味。go ～ingの表現例をいくつか挙げておきましょう。（例）go fishing「釣りに行く」、go jogging「ジョギングに行く」、go singing karaoke「カラオケに行く」。

《例文》
1.Let's take a photo to remember the occasion by.
→記念に写真を取ろう。
2. I live with my parents, two brothers and a grandmother, so there are six of us in all.
→私は、両親と兄弟二人、祖母と暮らしています。家族みんなで6人になります。
3. We're thinking of going up to the mountains this weekend.
→今週末、山へ行こうと思ってるんだ。
4. Would you like to go shopping this afternoon?
→今日の午後、ショッピングに行く？
5. I'd like to take a long vacation and just relax for a month or so.
→一ヶ月くらい長期休暇を取って、のんびりしたいよ。

【音読アドバイス】
《ポイント：子音[t]》take, tall, team, spot
(1) and Iは「アンダイ」と発音し、taking, tripを強め、weekでゆっくりとイントネーションを下げます。
(2) Ten of us「テンノブアス」の後、goingとmountain
sを強調。
(3) going, trekkingを強め、forの後に少し間を置きます。four, fiveの[f]がいい加減な発音にならないように。
