「変幻自在の妖怪アニメ映画は記録破りの大ヒットとなった」─ The anime movie of the shape-shifting monsters became a record-breaking hit.
anime / animated movie「アニメ映画」。shape-shifting monster「形を変える妖怪」で「変幻自在の妖怪」を表現しています。monsters that can change form at will「自由自在に変身できる妖怪」とも言えます。さらにもう一つ・・・shape-shifter「変幻自在の妖怪」。record-breaking「空前の、記録破りの」。
（例）「あのピッチャーは変幻自在の投球をする」─ That pitcher uses a vast repertoire of pitches.
・ a vast repertoire of pitches「非常に多くの球種」。
前回の復習
「彼は舌先三寸だから、彼の言葉を真に受けちゃだめだよ」─ He can talk people into anything, but that’s all he can do, so don’t take him at his word.
「舌先三寸」─ talk ～ into …「(人を) 言いくるめて…させる」＋ that’s all he can do「彼ができるのはそれだけ」
「口先ではうまいことを言う」─ He talks a good game.
A: 「いつまでも若いね」─ You’re as young as ever.
B: 「口先だけでしょ」─ You’re just saying that.
「口先だけではどうにもならない」─ Fine words won’t lead you anywhere.
Extra Bit：「彼は口だけで、行動が伴わない」─ He's all talk, no action.
