《今日のFUP：1171》 薄利多売 ─ はくりたばい
「この業界では、薄利多売でなければやっていけない」 ─ Unless you go for high volume and low margin, you won’t last long in this business.
unless ～「もし～しなければ (if ～ not)」。go for high volume and low marginで「薄利多売を目指す」という意味になります。high volume (of sales)「大量 (販売)」、low margin「薄利 (利益が少ないこと)」。not last long「長続きしない (やっていけない)」。
（例）「あんなにサービスがよくて、どうやって利益を上げているのだろうか？」─ How can they make a profit, offering such excellent service? ・make a profit「利益を得る」、offer「提供する」。

「あの小説家はまだとても若いが、いかにも才気煥発といった感じである」─ That novelist is still very young, but she looks very intelligent and witty.
「才気煥発 (知性があふれ出る)」─ intelligent「知性のある」＋witty「機知に富んだ」
「彼女は知性と才能に満ちあふれている」─ She has plenty of intelligence and talent.
「才能がある人は見せびらかしたりしない」─ A talented person doesn't need to show off.
Extra Bit：「彼には隠れた才能が色々とある」」─ He has so many hidden talents.
