《今日のFUP：1164》 無理難題 ─ むりなんだい
「参ったな。どうして本部はいつも無理難題を言ってくるのだろうか？」 ─ I’m stuck. Why does the home office ask the impossible all the time?
stuck「困り果てて」、home office「本社」。ask the impossible「不可能なことを求める」が「無理難題を言う」に当たる表現。They keep asking the impossible.「彼らが無理難題を吹っ掛けてくる」。その理由は・・・They don't know what the reality is in the field.「現場の実情がわかっていない」からなのでは？
（例）「無理難題を突きつけられてお手上げだよ」─ I can’t take any more of these outrageous demands.
・outrageous demands「とんでもない要求」。
前回の復習
「彼の叱咤激励で、チームは発奮し勝利した」─ His pep talk spurred the team on to victory.
「激励、檄 (叱咤激励)」─ pep talk
「監督がチームに檄を飛ばした」─ The coach gave his team a pep talk.
「彼はスタッフに活を入れた」─ He gave his staff a pep talk.
「チームを勝利に駆り立てる」─ spur the team on to victory
「彼女が檄を飛ばしたので、みんなとてもやる気になった」─ Her pep talk inspired us all to higher levels of motivation.
Extra Bit：「上司から絶えずもっとやれと叱咤激励される」─ My boss is always trying to squeeze more out of me.
