《今日のFUP：1159》 前途洋洋々 ─ ぜんとようよう
「自作した曲で彼女はそのコンテストで優勝。前途洋洋ですね」 ─ A song she wrote won first prize in the contest. There’s a bright future waiting for her.
win first prize「優勝する (１等賞を取る)」。「前途洋洋」とはThere’s a bright future waiting for ～「～には明るい未来が待っている」ということですね。She’s got a bright future ahead of her. / The future is bright for her.「彼女の将来は有望です」と言い換えてもいいでしょう。
（例）「本当に彼には見どころがある」─ I’m sure he’s got a lot of promise.
・promise「見込み、将来性」。be full of potential「大いに可能性がある」も一緒に覚えておきましょう。

「その家は典型的な和洋折衷の作りだった」─ That house was built in a typical Japanese-Western hybrid style. / The construction of that house was a typical Japanese-Western blend.
