《今日のFUP：1158》 和洋折衷々 ─ わようせっちゅう
「その家は典型的な和洋折衷の作りだった」 ─ That house was built in a typical Japanese-Western hybrid style.
in a typical Japanese-Western hybrid styleで「典型的な和洋折衷のスタイルで」の意味になります。hybrid「混成の」。hybrid car「ガソリンと電気両方を使う車」をイメージするといいでしょう。blend「混合 (名詞)」を使って、The construction of that house was a typical Japanese-Western blend.とも言えます。construction「構造、建築様式」。
（例）「その建物のデザインは東洋と西洋のいいとこ取りをしている」─ The design of the building blends the best of East and West.
・blend「混ぜ合わせる (動詞)」。

「柄にもなく沈思黙考して。何か気になることでもあるのかい？」─ It’s quite unlike you to be deep in thought. Is something bothering you?
「まるで君らしくない (柄にもなく)」─ not quite unlike you
