《今日のFUP：1148》 門外不出 ─ もんがいふしゅつ
「この書類には門外不出にすべき極秘情報が含まれている」 ─ This document contains the kind of top-secret information that should never see the light of the day.
contain「含む」、top-secret「極秘の、最高機密の」。「門外不出」とはnever see the light of the day「日の目を見ない (外には出さない)」ということですね。never get out in the open「表に出さない」も使えます。ちなみに、「取り扱いにはくれぐれも気をつけるように」はBe extra careful how you handle it.と言います。extraに注目！
（例) 「秘密を漏らしたのは誰だ？」─ Who spilled the beans?
・文字通りの意味は「豆をこぼしたのは誰？」。
前回の復習
「ここからの景色は一望千里。富士山まで見える」─ There’s a sweeping view from here. You can see all the way to Mt. Fuji.
「ここから景色が一望できる (一望千里)」─ There’s a sweeping view from here.
「見晴らしのいい」─ commanding
「そのバルコニーから市全体が見渡せた」─ From the balcony we had a commanding view of the city.
「～まで見える」─ see all the way to ～
「この露天風呂は海が一望できるからいいよね」─ The sweeping ocean vista makes this a great outdoor bath.
Extra Bit：「この窓からの眺めは驚くほど素晴らしい」─ The view from this window is stunning.
