《今日のFUP：1123》 一網打尽 ─ いちもうだじん
「警察はその倉庫に隠れていた密入国者たちを一網打尽にした」 ─ Police rounded up the illegal immigrants hiding in the warehouse.
round upが「一網打尽にする」に当たる表現。make a wholesale arrest of ～「～を一斉に逮捕する」も使えます。illegal immigrant「密入国者、不法移民」、hide in the warehouse「倉庫に隠れる」。hidingの前にthat / who wereが省略されています。
（例）「昨夜、高速道路で暴走族が一斉検挙された」─ Noisy motorcycle gangs were rounded up on the expressway last night.
・noisy motorcycle gangs「(騒音を撒き散らす) 暴走族」。
前回の復習
「そのややこしい問題を所長が快刀乱麻を断つがごとく解決。さすがだね」─ Our boss did a masterly job of solving the knotty problem. That’s just like him. / Our boss got the knotty problem sorted out in a masterly manner. That’s just like him.
「快刀乱麻を断つ (込み入った問題を巧みに解決すること)」→ 「見事に～する」─ do a masterly job of ～＋「ややこしい問題を解決する」─ solve the knotty problem
「～を解決する」─ get ～ sorted out
「見事に」─ in a masterly manner
「それはいかにも彼らしい（さすが）」─ That’s just like him.
「相変わらず、彼は決断が早い」─ Just like always, he’s quick to make a decision.
Extra Bit：「彼がここにいたら、快刀乱麻の勢いで解決してくれたんだろうけどな」─ If only he was here, he'd solve our problems through decisive action.
