《今日のFUP：1114》 眉目秀麗 ─ びもくしゅうれい
「新入社員の中でも、眉目秀麗な彼は一際目立って見える」 ─ Strikingly handsome, he stands out from all the other new employees.
「眉目秀麗」とはstrikingly handsome「際立ってハンサムな」ということですね。出だしにAs he isが略されています。good-looking「顔立ちのいい」も使えます。次の言い回しも覚えておきましょう。He has a handsome face with chiseled features「彼は彫りの深いいい男だ」。stand out「目立つ」、employee「社員、従業員」。
（例）「彼はとても背が高いので、人込みの中で目立つ」─ He’s such a tall guy that he stands out in the crowd.
・crowd「人込み、群集」。
前回の復習
「彼は借金地獄から抜け出すために、昼となく夜となく遮二無二働いた」─ He worked at a furious pace day in and day out to get out of the debt hell.
「猛烈な勢いで働く (遮二無二働く)」─ work at a furious pace / work furiously
「猛烈に」─ furiously
「できるだけ一生懸命に」─ work as hard as he could
「明けても暮れても」─ day in and day out
「借金地獄」─ debt hell
「働きすぎて、体を壊したら、何にもならないよ」─ All your work will come to nothing if you work yourself sick.
Extra Bit：「遮二無二なって働くのもいいけど、身体だけは壊すなよ」─ It's all right to work as furiously as you do, but just don't ruin your health.
