《今日のFUP：1096》 大同小異 ─ だいどうしょうい
「最近のアクション映画は大同小異だからね。あまり見る気がしない」 ─ Action films are all pretty much alike these days. I don’t feel much like watching them.
all pretty much alike「どれもあまり代わり映えしない、ほとんど同じ」で「大同小異」の意味に。the same「同じ」を使って、all pretty much the sameとも言えます。pretty much「ほとんど」は日常会話の中で頻繁に使われます。feel like ～ing「～したい気がする」。
(例)「最近の若者は、みんな同じ格好をしているから。個性がないよね」─ Kids these days all dress the same. It’s hard to tell them apart.
・It’s hard to tell them apart.「区別がつかない」→「個性がない」。

「どちらかというと、彼女は大器晩成型だね」─ I think she’s something of a late bloomer.
「幾分～の気がある」─ something of ～
「遅咲きの人 (大器晩成の人)」─ a later bloomer
「花開く」─ flower
「大器晩成 (素晴らしい才能は遅れて花開く)」─ Great talents flower late.
「開花する」─ bloom
「いつになったら彼女の隠れた才能は開花するのだろうか」─ I wonder when her hidden talent will bloom.
「彼は神童と見なされていたが、人生の早い内に才能が伸びなくなった」─ He was considered a child genius, but he peaked out early in life.
