《今日のFUP：1063》 抱腹絶倒 ─ ほうふくぜっとう
「その芸人がジョークを言い、劇場内のみんなが抱腹絶倒した」 ─ The entertainer told a joke and everyone in the theater burst into sidesplitting laughter.
burst into sidesplitting laughter「腹の皮がよじれるほど笑う」。これで「抱腹絶倒」の意味に。double over with laugher / split one’s sides laughingでも表現できます。この機会に次の言い回しも一緒に覚えておきましょう。I laughed until tears came out.「涙が出るほど笑った」、I’m all laughed out.「笑いすぎちゃった」。
(例)「笑わないようしたんだけど、思わず笑ってしまった」─ The more I tried not to laugh, the more the laughter forced its way out.
・force one’s way out「無理やり外に出る」。

「晴耕雨読の生活がこんなに退屈だなんて」─ I never thought living quietly in retirement could be so boring.
「静かに隠居生活を送る (晴耕雨読)」─ live quietly in retirement

Extra Bit：「のんびりとした生活で、時間に縛られない生き方ができればな」─ I wish I could live at a more relaxed pace, instead of having to watch the clock all the time.
