《今日のFUP：1048》 右往左往 ─ うおうさおう
「右往左往するのはよせよ。みっともないったらありゃしない」 ─ Stop running around in a panic. You're embarrassing me.
run around in a panic「うろたえて動き回る」で「右往左往」を表現しています。embarrass「恥ずかしい思いをさせる」。get so flustered「あわてふためく」を使い、二つの英文を一つにして、Shame on you for getting so flustered.とも言えます。Shame on you.は「みっともない、恥を知れ」という意味。
(例)「みんなが右往左往していたが、私には何が起きているのかわからなかった」─ Everybody was rushing here and there in confusion, but I had no idea what was going on.
・rush here and there in confusion「混乱してあちこちを駆けずり回る」。

「週末はずっと一心不乱に勉強した」─ I was fully concentrated on my studies all weekend. / I concentrated single-mindedly on my studies all weekend.
「～に完全に集中している (一心不乱)」─ be fully concentrated on ～
「集中する」─ concentrate
「ひたすらに、一心に」─ single-mindedly
「うっかりして」─ absent-mindedly
「彼女は20年間、無我夢中で子育てをしてきた」─ She’s been completely absorbed in raising her children for 20 years.
Extra Bit：「僕の強みは、周りがどんなにひどい状態でも集中できることです」─ My strength is my ability to concentrate despite the chaos all around me.
