《今日のFUP：1031》 興味津々 ─ きょうみしんしん
「次世代のスマートフォンにみんな興味津々」 ─ Everyone is eager to know more about the next generation of smartphones.
ここでは「興味津々」をbe eager to know more about ～「～についてしきりにもっと知りたがる」で表現。be dying to ～「～したくてたまらない」を使って、Everyone is dying to find out more about the next generation of smartphones.とも言えます。find out「見つけ出す」。
(例)「オンラインゲームに彼は全く興味がない」─ Online games don’t interest him at all.
・interest「興味を持たせる (動詞)」。
前回の復習
「彼は無我夢中でその報告書に取り組み、一気に書き上げた」─ He worked on the report frantically and finished it all at once.
「～に取り組む、取りかかる」─ work on ～
「死に物狂いで (無我夢中)」─ rantically
「必死に (狂ったように)」─ like crazy
「一辺に (一気に)」─ all at once
「一度で」─ in a sitting
「一挙に」─ at one fell swoop
「時間の経過に気づかないほど、その新作ゲームに無我夢中になっていた」─ I was so absorbed in the new game that I didn't even notice the time passing by.
Extra Bit：「どうして多くの人がこの本にそんなに夢中になるのか全然わからない」─ I have no idea why a lot of people are so excited about this book.
