「いいアイデアだと思ったけど、ちょっと普通すぎるね」─ I thought it was a pretty good idea, but just a little too run-of-the-mill.
run-of-the-millは「月並みの、ありふれた」という意味。ordinary「普通の」を使って、次のようにも言えます。I thought it was a pretty good idea, but it's a little too ordinary.
（例）「もっと斬新なアイデアを出さないと」─ We should come up with a more innovative idea.
