「そこは出会い目的で行く人が多い」─ It's more of a place where people go looking for a date.
「出会い目的で行く」をgo looking for a date「デートの相手を捜しに行く」で表現しています。It's a place where lots of people go to find dates.とも言えます。go to find dates「デートの相手を見つけに行く」。
（例）「インターネットの出会い系サイトがどんどん増え始めている」─ Internet dating sites are sprouting up like weeds.
