「見守る」はwatch「じっと見ている」でいいでしょう。Giveで始めて、次のようにも言えます。Give it your best shot. I'll be watching from here.
（例）「結果が出るかどうか見守るだけだね」─ We just have to wait and see if it produces results.

「この航空会社、行きと帰りの食事がえらく違うね」─ The food on this airline sure is different coming and going. / The food this airline serves on outbound flights is really different from what they serve coming back.
