「この航空会社、行きと帰りの食事がえらく違うね」─ The food on this airline sure is different coming and going.
「行きと帰り」が英語ではcoming and goingとなっている点に注意。The food this airline serves on outbound flights is really different from what they serve coming back.とも言えます。outbound「外国行きの」。
（例）「通勤電車は行きも帰りも込んでいた」─ The train I commute in was crowded coming and going.

「君はいつも何だかんだ理由をつけて断るんだね」─ You always turn me down, making one excuse or another. / You keep turning me down on one pretext or another.

「口実」─ pretext
