「掃除機をかけるなら、ついでに雑巾掛けもしておいて」─ As long as you're vacuuming, could you also mop the floor?
ここでは「ついでに」のニュアンスをalsoで表現しています。tooを使って、Would you wipe the flooring with a cloth too, as long as you're going to vacuum?と言ってもいいでしょう。
（例）「スーパーに行くついでに、クリーニング屋さんに行ってくれる？」─ Could you go to the cleaner's on the way to the supermarket?
