《今日のFUP：840》血の滲むような努力
「彼は血のにじむような努力をして、その試験に合格した」─ He worked so hard that he was just about sweating blood, and passed the exam.
work hard「頑張る」とsweat blood「血の汗を流す（懸命に努力する）」を組み合わせて「血の滲むような努力」を表現。不定詞toを使って、He worked so hard to pass the exam that he just about sweated blood.とも言えます。
（例）「このプロジェトは多くの血と汗と涙の結晶である」─ A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into this project.

「お手すきでしたら、事務室までお願いします」─ If you're not occupied right now, could you come into the office? / Would you mind coming into my office if you're not too busy?
「お手すき（手がふさがっていない、忙しくない）」─ be not occupied
