《今日のFUP：828》個性がない
「最近の若者は、みんな同じ格好をしているから、個性がないよね」─ Young people dress so much alike these days it's hard to tell them apart.
「個性がない」をここではhard to tell ～ apart「区別がつかない」で表現しています。Kids these days all dress the same. It makes it hard to tell one from another.でも同じような意味になります。tell one from another「区別する」。
（例）「彼って個性があるよね」─ He has a lot of character.
前回の復習
「もう少し自分の気持ちを抑えた方がいいのかな？」─ I should probably learn to keep my feelings to myself a little more. / Maybe I should learn to keep my feelings inside a little more.
「気持ちを抑える」─ keep one's feelings to oneself
「心の中に」─ inside
「あくびを抑えるのが大変だった」─ I had a hard time holding back a yawn.
Extra Bit：「彼はプライドを抑えて、助けを求めた」─ He swallowed his pride and asked for help.
