《今日のFUP：741》代車
「車を修理に出している間、代車をお願いしたいのですが」─ While my car is in the shop, I'd like to have a loaner.
「代車」はloanerと言います。lend ～ a car「～に車を貸す」を使って、次のように言ってもいいでしょう。Could you lend me a car to drive while mine is in the shop?
（例）「車を車検に出してるので、今、代車に乗っています」─ I'm driving a substitute car because mine is in the shop getting an official inspection.

「今日やれるところまでやってしまおう」─ Let's make as much progress today as we possibly can. / Today let's make all the headway we can.
「できるところまで進む」─ make as much progress as we possibly can
「進歩、前進」─ progress / headway
「できる限りのことはしたが、十分ではなかった」─ We did all the work we could today, but it wasn't enough.
