「あいつの言うことには刺がある」─ He speaks with stinging words.
stinging「棘のある、辛辣な」の代わりにbiting「痛烈な」も使えます。He has a sharp tongue.と言ってもいいでしょう。have a sharp tongueは「毒舌である」という意味。
（例）「彼はよく辛辣なことを言う」─ He likes to make biting comments.

「何を話しても無駄だよ。彼は聞く耳を持たないから」─ Talking to him is useless. He doesn't listen to a thing I say. / It's useless talking to him. Whatever I say, he doesn't want to hear it.
「聞く耳を持たない（私の言うことを一言も聞いてくれない）」─ not listen to a thing I say
「何を言っても、彼は真剣に受け止めてくれない」─ Whatever I say, he won't take it seriously.
Extra Bit：「人の話を聞こうともしないんだから」─ You never listen to what other people have to say.
