「勝手に早退するなんて、あまりに無責任だ」─ Don't try to duck out early. Where's your sense of responsibility?
Where's your sense of responsibility?「君の責任感はどこにあるのか？」で「無責任だ」と言っています。duck out earlyは「早く帰る、抜け出す」。lack「不足」を使って、次のように言ってもいいでしょう。It shows a lack of responsibility when you duck out early.
（例）「途中で仕事を投げ出すなんて無責任だよ」─ It's irresponsible of you to give up your job halfway.

「ちゃんとしないと、後で自分が痛い目にあうよ」─ If you don't get smart, you're going to get burned. / You're going to pay for it if you don't wise up.
「ひどい目にあう、火傷する（痛い目にあう）─ get burned
「罰が当たる」─ pay for it
「賢くなる、反省する」─ wise up
「あのレストランでひどい目にあったよ」─ I had a really bad experience at that restaurant.
Extra Bit：「無責任なことをしたため、彼は罰が当たり辛い思いをした」─ He paid for his irresponsibility with bitter experience.
