「すみません。言葉足らずで」─ I'm sorry. I didn't make myself clear.
「言葉足らず」とは「明確に説明しない」ということですから、make oneself clearを使えばいいでしょう。次のようにも言えます。Forgive me. I may not have made myself clear enough.
（例）「もう少しちゃんと説明すべきでした」─ I should have explained more thoroughly.
前回の復習
「開店休業状態です」─ It's like having the store open but not a customer in sight. / The store is open, but it's as empty as if it were closed.
「客は一人も見えない」─ not a customer in sight
「がらがら」─ empty
「閉店の」─ closed
「明かりはついてるけど、レストランには誰もいない」─ The lights are on, but nobody's in the restaurant.
Extra Bit：「物がさっぱり売れない」─ Nothing is selling.
