《今日のFUP：374》きちんと食事をとる
「しっかり寝て、きちんと食事をとらないと」─ You should get plenty of sleep and eat right.
「きちんと食事をとる」をeat rightで表現。right「適切に、正しく」は副詞の働きをしています。rightの代わりにproperly「適切に、きちんと」を使って、You'd better eat properly and get enough sleep.とも言えます。
（例）「病気を治したければ、栄養バランスがとれた食事をしなさい」─ If you want to get better, you'll have to eat a balanced diet.

「そのプロジェクトは資金不足のためお流れとなりました」─ The project was canceled because of lack of funds. / They ran out of money on the project and had to dump it.
「資金不足」─ lack of funds
「お金が不足する」─ run out of money
「放棄する」─ dump
「問題は人手不足なんだ」─ The problem is that we are short on staff.
Extra Bit：「あなたのプロジェクトに彼が資金援助する保証はない」─ I can't guarantee that he'll fund your project.
