「冬になると静電気が起きて嫌だ」─ I hate the static electricity that builds up during the winter.
「静電気」はstatic electricityと言います。このelectricityは省略可能。The staticを主語にして、The static that builds up during the winter really bothers me.でも同じような意味になります。
（例）「びりっときた！静電気だ」─ I just got a shock! It's static electricity.
前回の復習
「被害者の立場になって考えたら？」─ Why don’t you put yourself in the place of the victim? / Why don’t you think about it from the perspective of the victims?
「被害者の立場に自分自身を置く」─ put oneself in the place of the victim
「見方、観点」─ perspective
「もう少し気を使うようにしなさい」─ Try to be a little more considerate.
Extra Bit:「今、自分がどういう立場にいるか分かってるのか？」─ Do you have any idea what position you're in right now?
