「ずいぶん殺風景な所に住んでるんだね」─ You live in a pretty desolate place, don't you?
desolate「人けのない、さびれた」で「殺風景」を表現。bleak「荒涼とした、もの悲しい」を使って、This is a pretty bleak place you live in.とも言えます。
（例）「駅前にコンビニが一軒しかない」─ All there is at the station is a single convenience store.
