《今日のFUP：263》兼務
「彼は課長と部長を兼務している」─ He doubles as section chief and department head.
doubleは動詞として使えます。double as ～の意味は「二役を務める」。これで「兼務」を表現。serve concurrently as ～「同時に～として務める」を使って、次のようにも言えます。He serves concurrently as section chief and department head.
（例）「部長が第一課の課長を兼務しています」─ The division chief doubles as head of the 1st section.

「平静を保つ（平常心でいる）」─ keep one's presence of mind
「平静」─ composure
