今週の復習です。英語の筋トレに使用した英文を音声を聞きながら再度チェックしましょう。音読も忘れずに!

《音読179回》
1. Hey, watch out!
The light is red.
You can't cross the street now.



2. It's good to be back in town.
I haven't been here in a long time.
It'll be nice to see my old friends.



3. People like that are impossible to deal with.
They'll always try to quarrel with you.
The best you can do is leave them alone.




《会話179回》
1. A: This bag is heavy. What's in it?
B: My laptop and some other stuff.



2. A: How are things going with your girlfriend?
B: What girlfriend? I'm not going with anyone.



3. A: What's on my schedule for today?
B: I've scheduled you for a meeting at 11.




《作文179回》
【Part 1】
1. OK, I'll see you there at 10.
2. He's this close to getting a promotion.
3. I showed up at the party without anything.



【Part 2】
4. a. Surely you have some idea why she's angry.
b. Surely it must occur to you why she's angry.

In Japanese, nomu means to drink.
Nomu and communication.
Nomunication.
Drinking after work is important.




今日のワンポイント

木曜日《文法》に出てきたIt's not like ~を使った例文をいくつか挙げておきましょう。

It's not like him to cry at movies.
→映画を見て泣くなんて、彼らしくない。
It's not like it was in the old days.
→昔とは違う。
It's not like we need to hurry much.
→そんなに急いでいるわけではない。
It's not like I don't have enough money.
→お金がない訳じゃない。
It's not like you to be late for a meeting.
→会議に遅れるなんて君らしくない。
