木曜日《文法》に出てきたbe afraid ～を使った例文をいくつか挙げておきましょう。
There's no need to be afraid.
→怖がる必要なんてない。
Don't be afraid to be blunt.
→遠慮せずに単刀直入に言って。
Don't be afraid to tell the truth.
→遠慮せずに本当のことを言ってくれよ。
Don't be afraid of making a mistake.
→間違えることを恐れてはいけない。
