《音読141回》

今日のワンポイント

木曜日《文法》に出てきたget older「年を取る」を使った例文をいくつか挙げておきましょう。

I'm getting rounder as I get older.
→年を取るにつれて、ふっくらしてくるのね。
As you get older, you become a lighter eater.
→年を取ると共に、食が細くなるものだな。
Sure enough, as you get older, it becomes harder to digest oily foods.
→確かに年を取るにつれて脂っこい物がだめになるね。
When you get older, you don't let the little things bother you so much.
→年を取ると、細かいことはあまり気にしなくなるもんだよ。
As I get older, I've come to like Japanese-style sweets more than Western.
→年を取るにつれて、だんだん洋菓子より和菓子の方が好きになってきた。
